Up close

Isabella got up close to the lake to feed the ducks swimming around.

Lachlan likes Ducks

Lachlan wasn't scared of the ducks. He threw them some bread and tried to pat them.

Feeding the Ducks

We walked to Lake Murray and fed the ducks last weekend!

Ikea Bed

Meanwhile, Isabella thought it would be nice to take a nap in the bed at the store.

Shoulder Ride

On a trip to Ikea, Lachlan took a ride on Dan's shoulders.

New Story time

Now that we are living in the suburbs, it's time to check out new story times. This place was awesome because it's also a toy store!

Bird Nest

On our walk home from dinner, Dan and Isabella rescued a birds nest that had fallen on the ground.

Flirting

This little girl and Lachlan were flirting across the restaurant at dinner the other night. The only thing that distracted her was the food being served at her table. At this point I'm not sure if Lachlan was looking at the girl or the food too.

Helper

Isabella helped put the boxes on the shelves in the play room. I tried to help her but she wanted no part of that. She wanted to set everything up all by herself.

Locked out

Our new house is taking a small amount of adjustment. An example is how I locked myself out of the house while the kids were in it. It was 7am and Isabella was still sleeping and I wanted to take a few boxes out to the car. I did not realize that just turning the front door knob does not unlock the door as it had at our other homes. As soon as I realized what I'd done, I called out to Lachlan who was by the door. I tried to get him to turn the knob, but they are different at this house. I ran down to Isabella's bedroom and banged on the window hoping I'd be able to tell her how to get upstairs and open the door. No response from her after two minutes of knocking and yelling. I then thought that there was a possibility our bedroom window was unlocked. Luckily, it was! I was just about ready to break a window. Lori said I have Anissa-ized the house. When I got back inside I went and checked on Isabella and she was just laying in her bed. She'd heard me, but she just lay in her bed waiting or me to come and get her.

House Picnic

Isabella had a little picnic in our dining room because we hadn't set up the table yet.

Trip to the Dentist

We took a trip to the dentist so that he could check out those chipped teeth of Lachlan's. They had a very fun waiting room that even had a Dora video game.

Luckily, the dentist said there wasn't any nerve damage and the tooth wasn't going to turn 'bad.' Because Lachlan screamed the entire time he was looking in his mouth, he suggested waiting until he was 3 before looking into any cosmetic surgery to fix the main tooth.

Picture of me!

Well if I'm taking a picture of Lachlan I have to take a picture of Isabella. As soon as she saw me pull my camera out she said 'Picture of Bella straw!'

Restless

With Lachlan getting restless at dinner, I gave him everything I could find. A fork, a chip clip and a coaster. He was good for another 10 minutes.

Map of Australia

At Outback Steakhouse Isabella and Lachlan looked at a map of where Nana and Grandpa live.

What to do

Without any toys boxes unpacked yet, Lachlan played with a plastic french fry and Isabella put her feet up with her bed toys.

DVD

Before the television was set up, both kids were happy watching Sesame Street on our tiny dvd player.

Papa's Visit

Lachlan was interested to have someone sit in the middle sit beside him. He just kept staring at Bill. Isabella also asked him why he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. We've taught her well!

Sitting in a box

5 children's chairs and 2 adult chairs in the new play room and Isabella chose to sit in a box.

Bubble Wrap

Our children have discovered bubble wrap! Isabella likes to jump on it.

Crib Mattress

The night before we moved Isabella had to sleep on just her mattress because we'd already taken the crib apart. She didn't mind. She hopped right in her bed but when I tried to put her books on the floor so that she'd have more room, she didn't like it and put all of them back in the bed with her.

Balloon

Isabella got a balloon at Henry's Market and took it to bed with her.

Ready for the move

I told Isabella that it was moving day and she gathered everything she thought she'd need for the new house. I fluffy pen, some necklaces, a bag and a torch. Not to mention her favorite item, her tiara. Auntie Lisa that was money well spent!

Sneaky

Lachlan managed to sneak behind the tv on moving day.
